Sailor hats
Let kids imaginations set sail with these DIY captain hats made from repurposed coffee sleeves. They make a fun party activity for older children, or they can be made in advance and used as a place settings.

Tools and Materials
- Corrugated coffee sleeves
- Printable party circles
- Patterned paper
- Hot glue gun or tacky glue
- Glue dots

Step by Step Instructions
1. Gently pull the coffee sleeves open, turn inside out so you see the corrugated side, and re–glue.
2. Cut patterned paper into triangles (for the tops).
3. Insert paper triangles, with pointed side up, between coffee filter flaps. Add dabs of glue to keep them place.
4. Use glue or glue dots to add printable party circles to the front of each sailor hat.
5. Attach hats the corner of each child's chair with glue dots.
